Beautiful Cymbals in mantra design, also known as Tingshas, with an enchanting sound.
Cymbals are a traditional ritual instrument which is used in Tibetian Buddhism to stress certain sections or happenings in the ritual. Their sound should call up and deepen attention, alertness and concentration. In Feng-Shui practise they are admired to use for "room purifications". Athmosphere wants to be refined and purged by the high-pitched sound.
The relief-like Om Mani Padme Hum mantra has some symbolic disposition and no immediate influence on the sound it renders. It is said that the force of these symbols scatters everywhere in the environments.
These cymbals come from India. They are made by casting technique and worked-out by hand equipped with a natural patina.
Usage:
Cymbals are hold on the cords battering the fringes of the two metal discs against each other. These bronze discs are approximately 5mms thick and produce a bright, lasting sound. This is because of the minimum difference of sounds vibrating between the two cymbals.
