Clary Sage is a biennial plant with large hairy leaves and strongly fragrant blue-pink flowers that is cultivated in the Mediterranean region. Clary sage grows up to 1.5 metres high and, like many labiates, is a bee pasture. In naturopathy it is used for skin problems, muscle, stomach and cold complaints as well as nervous tension; it is also used in perfumery and for food flavouring (wines).
