Georg Deuter was born in Falkenhagen, Germany, and was one of the first to be a multi-instrumentalist. A nearly fatal accident, the influences of Sufism and a lengthy stay in Poona, India, got to take him to a new comprehension of music. Deuter began to combine and mix up ethnic and atmospheric music together with rock music and nature sounds. The mantras he composed between 1974 and 1980 while he was in the Indian Ashram are nowadays not used for meditation only, but also in affiliation with therapeutic medical applications. Deuter now lives in the USA.
